BiographyTom Buchmueller, a health economist, is the Waldo O. Hildebrand Professor of Risk Management and Insurance in the Stephen M. Ross School of Business. He also has a faculty appointment in the Department of Health Management and Policy. He is a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research and an editor of the Berkeley Electronic Journal of Economiic Analysis and Policy. Professor Buchmueller's research focuses on the economics of health insurance and related public policy issues. His recent work has examined the relationship between employer-sponsored insurance and labor market outcomes, interacations between the public sector and private insurance markets and consumer demand for health insurance.
