Program for Unscheduled Pediatric Healthcare Delivery

Mission:

To design safer, more efficient, cost-effective, and coordinated systems of care for the evaluation and treatment of children with acute illnesses and injuries.

With this platform we will:

1. Characterize the range of healthcare settings available to children who are sick or injured during regular business hours, after-hours and on weekends.
2. Optimize the first 24 hours of hospital-based care for children requiring unscheduled treatment for common conditions such as asthma and dehydration.
3. Develop a national platform for information sharing and benchmarking for hospitals and health systems that are meeting the unscheduled healthcare needs of children.
