Scholars-In-Residence Program

The CHEAR Scholar-in-Residence Program provides pediatric health services and policy researchers with dedicated time and a supportive environment to further their training and research. The program aims to foster innovative research in pediatric health by immersing scholars in a community that values collaboration and engagement. Scholars can participate for periods ranging from one week to one year.

Although CHEAR does not provide funding, the program will provide the following benefits based upon availability:

  • Shared office space in the CHEAR suite

  • Access to University of Michigan resources, including libraries, data, and computing resources

  • Opportunities to present research in CHEAR seminars and at seminars in other research units at the University of Michigan

  • Opportunities to meet and collaborate with CHEAR faculty and faculty across the University of Michigan campus more broadly

Applicants should:

  • Have a clear interest in pediatric health services research or pediatric health policy
  • Have identified a faculty member who has agreed to sponsor them during their stay

Individuals at any career stage, including those from the University of Michigan, are welcome to apply.
