A key moment in CHEAR’s history came in 2018, when Susan and Paul Meister provided a transformative gift. In recognition of this gift, the center was renamed the “Susan B. Meister Child Health Evaluation and Research Center” in honor of Dr. Susan Meister, who has dedicated her career to clinical research and pediatric health care policy. This gift has allowed us to:
- Recruit and retain highly regarded faculty
- Re-launch our health services research fellowship
- Provide pilot funding for innovative, high-impact research
- Provide administrative support for our signature events, including the Meister Lecture series and the annual health services research reception at the Pediatric Academic Societies Meeting.
More details of the impact of the naming gift are included in this report. (Report will be released soon – check back for updates.)
