Zachary Rumlow, DO, is a second Year Pediatric Critical Care Fellow who just started his first year of the CHEAR fellowship. He completed his pediatrics residency at the University of Iowa. His research aims to identify strategies to leverage interventions such as continuous renal replacement therapy and ECMO to improve the outcomes of children with critical illness. His primary mentor is Dr. Ryan Barbaro.
Nyimasata Damba Danjo is a PhD candidate in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology and also a CHEAR-Life Sciences Institute fellow. She received her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and is now working in Dr. Roger Cone’s lab. Her dissertation focuses on the role of a melanocortin receptor in the regulation of growth and muscle energetic adaptations, which may have direct implications for child development. She will be working on Dr. Sarah Reeves’ team over the next 2-3 years while she completes an MPH in health management and policy.
